JBV1 serves as a comprehensive companion application for Valentine One® and Valentine One Gen2® Radar Locators, designed to enhance situational awareness and threat filtering for V1 users. Whether installed in your vehicle or used in other settings, JBV1 offers a range of advanced features tailored for experienced users:

• Real-time simultaneous display of frequency, signal strength, and direction for all detected radar threats
• Voice notifications detailing the band, frequency, and location of new threats to minimize driver distraction
• Persistence settings for alerts to facilitate quick threat identification
• Tracking metrics such as distance traveled and elapsed time since first threat detection
• Dynamic graphs illustrating signal strength and orientation over time
• Snooze functionality to ignore specific frequencies regardless of location for up to one hour
• Background operation with overlay alerts that function alongside other applications
• Logging of alerts with detailed reports sorted by day, time, and incident
• Integration with Google Maps to display logged alerts (requires internet connectivity)
• Profiles for custom V1 configurations, sweeps, and frequency settings
• Automatic adjustment of V1 modes based on vehicle speed
• GPS-based lockouts for known false alerts, including laser threats, which can be managed during active use or from remote locations
• Geofencing capabilities to automatically modify settings upon entering or exiting defined areas
• GPS-enabled marking of red light cameras, speed cameras, and other points of interest (Note: database covers USA and Canada only)
• Display of mark warnings with type, distance, and bearing information

The application requires an ESP-enabled V1 with a Bluetooth dongle or a V1 Gen2 with built-in Bluetooth. For earlier V1 models, compatible Bluetooth adapters include:

Both adapters are obtainable from Valentine Research Inc.

Permissions granted to JBV1 include:

• MODIFY PHONE STATE: Limited to enabling speakerphone functionalities in specific use cases.
• READ PHONE STATE: Used solely to detect active calls for optimizing alert audio suppression; no call data is accessed or stored.
• RECORD AUDIO: Optional feature supporting voice control capabilities.

An optional Accessibility Service is available within JBV1 to facilitate automation features such as screen splitting, screenshot capture, and screen locking on Android devices (Android 7+ and 9+). This service is disabled by default and not required for core functionalities.
